Fall Quarter Disbursement

High priority

We hope you have had a great start to your Fall quarter for the 2022-2023 academic year!

Financial aid disbursements will be issued October 7th, 2022. In order to receive a disbursement, you must:

  1. Have a Fall award (check your Financial Aid Awards here on JICS)
  2. Attend all of your classes
  3. Meet satisfactory academic progress requirements.
  4. Complete all of your Financial Aid Documents (check your Financial Aid Documents here on JICS)

If you are receiving an outside scholarship such as Tribal Higher Ed, Cobell, AIS, etc., NWIC must receive the funds in order to include it in your disbursement. You can check your Course and Fee Statement here on JICS (under Finances) to see which outside scholarships have been received.

If the disbursement(s) results in a credit on your account, you will be issued a payment in the form of a check. This will be noted on your statement as “PAID CHECK TO STUDENT.” Only students with the “PAID CHECK TO STUDENT” will have a check. Checks will be available to pick-up on main campus in Building 1, beginning at 8am on October 7th. If you do not live in Whatcom County, your check will be mailed to you at the end of the day. If you live in Whatcom County, but would like your check mailed to you, please contact Student Accounts at studentaccounts@nwic.edu.

Please note that any late enrollment changes, grade reviews, or late attendance entries can delay your check.

If you need to update your mailing address, please go to the Academics tab here on JICS and scroll down to the Contact Information Update Request form. Please allow time for your request to be processed.
